More than 100 guests in Kentucky raised an incredible $321k to boost Musana’s work in Uganda.
Taste To Transform, held at the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm near Lexington earlier this month, featured live music, local food trucks, and a keynote presentation from our co-founders Andrea and Haril Kazindra.
Proceeds from the event will support Musana’s expansion into the Ugandan districts of Budaka and Mayuge , funding new schools, hospitals, and small businesses.
Musana Chief Advancement Officer Erin Moser said: “We hold Taste To Transform in Denver each year but always dreamed of taking it on the road. This was our first major event in Kentucky, and it was incredible to see how deeply this community embraced Musana’s vision.
“What stood out most was people’s willingness to look beyond charity as a handout and toward aid that empowers. There’s a clear shift happening – people want to invest in sustainable change, not temporary relief.”
Kentucky’s relationship with Musana intensified in 2020 when the Kazindras first spoke at Southland Church. The success of Taste to Transform Kentucky marks a new phase in that partnership, as Musans looks to deepen its presence in the state.
“Our hope is to broaden our reach and deepen our roots here,” Erin continued..
“We’re exploring the addition of a Development Associate based in Kentucky to strengthen engagement and connect even more people to the mission. We’d love anyone with an interest in what we do to get in touch.”
